CDBG-CV grant amendment public hearing set for April 29
April 18 2025
AUBURN, Ala.- The City of Auburn will hold two public hearings on Tuesday, April 29, to discuss an amendment to a federal grant that supported the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The hearings will be held at 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the Boykin Community Center Auditorium at 400 Boykin St.
The City received a Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) grant through the State of Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs. The grant was part of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's efforts to help communities prevent, prepare for and respond to the spread of infectious diseases such as COVID-19.
Locally, the grant supported food bank and pantry programs, youth and senior services and efforts to prevent homelessness, focusing on underserved and at-risk Auburn residents.
Auburn residents are invited to attend a public hearing to receive information and make comments about the proposed amendment. The plan will be available for public review at the public hearing.
Residents may also submit written comments now through May 19 at 5 p.m. Written comments may be mailed to:
